Can any good really be found? | Molly Nichols

Can any good really be found?

How do you find the good in something that has broken your heart? How do you find a blessing when you’ve been through so much… Invested so much…Or even sacrificed so much to try to have a baby? Well my love, first you have to be open to it. Then you have to be willing to find it. And then you have to choose it. Yes, having this belief is a choice. You can choose to expect that good or a blessing can be found, or you can choose not to. But, either way you are choosing.

I shared a post on Instagram a couple of days ago around my belief that God and the Universe are always working in our favor and that even in our darkest moments, good and blessings can be found.

Several ladies reached out with questions around how could any good possibly come from experiencing one or more losses.

I could feel how deeply their hearts were aching because of what they have been through.

And this REALLY is a great question.

How do you find the good in something that has broken your heart?

How do you find a blessing when you’ve been through so much…

Invested so much…

Or even sacrificed so much to try to have a baby?

Well my love, first you have to be open to it.

Then you have to be willing to find it.

And then you have to choose it.

Yes, having this belief is a choice.

You can choose to expect that good or a blessing can be found, or you can choose not to.

But, either way you are choosing.

When we’re not open or willing to find the good, it becomes really hard to pull ourselves out of the darkness when it shows up in our lives.

We can spiral downward and get lost in the grief, anger and heartache.

We can get lost trying to create rational meaning around what has occurred.

But, the truth is sometimes we don’t know why things happen as they do, sometimes they just do.

Yes, you want to feel all of your feelings and not deny yourself of your experience.

But, when you can know, trust and believe that while yes, you are struggling right now,  it won’t be forever…

When you can give yourself permission to feel all that you’re feeling, because you KNOW that YOU are going to come out on the other side of it and some good will be found…

It allows you the space to feel, process and heal.

It lets the light in.

Even if it’s just a speck.

And over time, if you’re open to it…

If you choose it…

Your internal light will again shine brightly.

Your heart will heal.

The pain will fade.

And you WILL see the good that has come from these heavy moments.

In this moment, if you are struggling I want you to know that you are NOT alone.

I’m thinking of you!

And I hold space in my heart for the good and the blessings of your struggles and heartaches to be seen and found.

I’m sending so much healing love your way.

Sending you the biggest hug,

Molly

This August (8/25/14) will be 4 years that I said goodbye to my miracle baby. He came without the fertility drugs or treatments, we had stopped trying to conceive and he came from heaven. A stupid cord accident took his life at 5 months gestation — to this day I CANNOT be around babies or pregnant women whether they were/are my friend or not. Our angel’s name is Zachary. We are still trying to raise funds to have a proper marker, if it weren’t for the cemetery allowing us to put in seasonal decorations we would not know where he lays. Please share this fund-raiser with others. Every little bit helps. Kindest regards, The Becker Family
